Classroom Rules

It is very important that student's follow these rules in order to maintain organization in the classroom along with maintaining a positive learning enviornment for everyone.

1.     Follow directions.

2.     Be respectful of yourself and your fellow classmates.

3.     Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

4.     Listen quietly while others are speaking.

5.     Keep your hands to yourself..

6.     Always do your BEST!

If these rules are broken, consequences will follow. Each child will be aware of why they are receiving consequences and no child will punished unreasonably. The consequence will always fit the action.

The first time the rule is broken I will use corrective teaching by asking the student the following questions:

What are you doing?
What do you need to be doing?
What will you do next time?
What do you need to go right now?

The second warning I will give the child a color change. Each child has a pocket on the color change board with three different color cards.

Green = Well Behaved, on task
Blue = Warning
Red = Time out

If the child misbehaves while they are on red they will either recieve a call home or be sent to the office.

Education should consist of a series of enchantments, each raising the individual to a higher level of awareness, understanding, and kinship with all living things.
